چکیده
In other verbs, singular∼plural vowel alternations were not lost, but were simply rearranged. For example, in strong verbs like hëlfen ‘help’, nëmen ‘take’, and geben ‘give’ (classes IIIb, IV and V, respectively) the 1sg formwas rebuilt tomatch the plural, as in (2a) (ibid., §242). متن کاملEffects of Comparison and Explanation on Analogical Transfer
Although comparison and explanation have typically been studied independently, recent work suggests connections between these processes. Three experiments investigated effects of comparison and explanation on analogical problem solving. In Experiment 1, explaining the solutions to two analogous stories increased spontaneous transfer to an analogical problem. In Experiment 2, explaining a single...
متن کاملUniversal Grammar and Chaos/Complexity Theory: Where Do They Meet And Where Do They Cross?
Abstract The present study begins by sketching "Chaos/Complexity Theory" (C/CT) and its applica-tion to the nature of language and language acquisition. Then, the theory of "Universal Grammar" (UG) is explicated with an eye to C/CT. Firstly, it is revealed that CCT may or may not be allied with a theory of language acquisition that takes UG as the initial state of language acquisition for ...
